Wear rings provide a hard-wearing surface that protects the cylinder walls and the piston rod from scoring and abrasion. By maintaining alignment and reducing side loads, these rings facilitate smoother piston movement and lower friction levels.
Nylon Material | 6 3/4 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | Wear Ring
Features
- Scarf Cut wear ring
- Protection Against Wear
- Reduced Friction
- Extended Cylinder Life
- Operational Efficiency
A heavy duty double-acting assembly, the capped piston T-seal exhibits excellent sealability, extrusion resistance, and wearability. T-seals with “BR” suffix utilize a Bronze Filled PTFE cap instead of the standard Glass Filled PTFE cap.
PTFE; Nylon; Rubber Material | 8.27 in Nominal Inner Diameter | Capped Piston T-Seal
Features
- Glass-filled PTFE cap, nylon back-up, rubber energizer
Molded in PTFE with a rubber energizer, this seal absorbs the shock of pressure spikes to protect the rod seal. Bronze-filled Teflon rod buffer seal with a rubber energizer.
Bronze Filled PTFE Material | 3 in Nominal Inner Diameter | Buffer Seal
Backup rings are used in sealing and are designed to limit o-ring clearance gaps. They are used in high-pressure sealing situations.
70 Shore D Durometer | Urethane Material | 80 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | 4.9 MM Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- High strength and abrasion resistance
- Wide temperature range
- Chemical resistance
- Low friction
- Easy installation
Style 850 u-seals offer excellent resistance to extrusion and abrasion. The round cross-section expander offers energized sealing from zero to 5,000 psi.
95A Durometer | Urethane Material | 5 1/2 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 7/32 in Cross Section | U-Seal
The PS1850 piston seal can be used interchangeably with the PS1800 style piston seal. This seal provides improved heat resistance for demanding applications. Piston diameter “I” dimensions are given for pistons without wear rings.
Bronze Filled PTFE Material | 2 3/16 in Nominal Inner Diameter | Piston Seal
Features
- Easy assembly
- Low friction capabilities
Molded from a PTFE base material with 40% bronze and machined to exacting tolerances, this seal exhibits low friction and high strength corners are chamfered for cold flow resistance.
40% Bronze Filled PTFE Material | 2 5/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter | Piston Seal
Features
- Easy assembly
- Low friction capabilities
Asymmetric rod seal designed with precision trimmed sealing lips to provide a dry sealing solution in light and medium-duty applications. The Hallite 605 is molded in Hythane® 181, Hallite’s high-performance polyurethane, for easy installation and excellent low temperature performance. The twin lip design helps solve difficult rod sealing problems by providing lower friction, increased stability, and high, dynamic lip force, while preventing air penetration from outside the cylinder. Designed to have interference in the seal housing groove and has a secondary lip. The secondary sealing lip located behind the primary sealing lip improves stability of the seal in the gland. The inner dynamic lip is shorter and more robust to improve sealing and compression set characteristics over conventional, symmetrical U-seals.
The seal can be considered for use in heavy-duty applications when used with a suitable full depth back-up ring. The sealing lips are precision trimmed at an angle to give optimal rod sealing performance.
94A Durometer | Urethane Material | 1 3/4 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 3/16 in Cross Section | U-Seal
Features
- General purpose rod seal
- Robust design
- Excellent wear resistance
- Increase seal stability
- Performs well over wide temperature range and is extremely effective in low temperatures
- Primary lip protection
