DUCT-8000 has a diameter of 8 in. The material is 65-45-12 Ductile Iron.
65-45-12 Ductile Iron is used to machine pistons, glands, caps, manifolds, rams, and valve bodies.
Ductile has higher machining speeds than steel and there is usually no need for deburring machined parts. The graphite flakes in the material act as a self-lubricant. Ductile can be flame or induction hardened as well as deep hardened.
Ductile bars are produced with sufficient stock on the outside diameter to ensure clean-up at the nominal dimension.
- Excellent machinability
- Optimal impact strengths
- Optimal fatigue properties
- Optimal electrical conductivity
- High magnetic permeability

The PS1800 provides low friction, high strength piston sealing. The PS1800 also provides double-acting piston sealing in a compact design that meets the requirements of ANSI/B93-32-1973. Piston diameter “I” dimensions are given for pistons without wear rings.
15% Glass Filled PTFE Material | 3 7/16 in Nominal Inner Diameter | Piston Seal
Features
- Easy assembly
- Low friction capabilities
Totally interchangeable with Style PS1400 PTFE piston seals, Style PS1500 piston seals are molded from tough 60 Shore D durometer polyurethane. During the molding process, a .002” thick band of molybdenum disulfide is molded into the outside diameter of the seal ring for reduced friction. PS1500 piston seals are easily stretched over the piston and recover rapidly with the elimination of the “cold flow” characteristics found in PTFE seals. Piston diameter “I” dimensions are given for pistons without wear rings.

Features
- Easy assembly
- Low friction capabilities
This seal, molded from high grade 55D polyurethane, may retrofit the PS1800 seals, considering all dimensions are comparable. This seal material, with a high degree of memory, stretches over the piston and snaps in the groove for immediate assembly. These seals also feature low friction and high abrasion and extrusion resistance which helps to eliminate assembly damage. Piston diameter “I” dimensions are given for pistons without wear rings.

HC-4500-12 has a 5.25 in OD and is made to fit a 4 in bore cylinder.
Head cap size is determined based on the bending stress.
A static seal or o-ring is used in between the head cap and barrel (except welded construction).
The main function of the head cap is to enclose the pressure chamber at one end. The cap is connected to the cylinder body by means of welding, threading, bolts, or tie rod.
O-rings as elastic loops that seal static and dynamic applications. They are used to seal the space between cylinders, pistons, pipes and tubes and can be made from various materials.
70 Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 4 5/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | O-Ring
Features
- Pressure range varies according to diametral clearance
- Temperature range of -40 °F to -240 °F
