Parback® backup ring with a curved cross-section.
Parbaks are contoured on one face to minimize distortion of the o-ring when under pressure. Parbaks should be installed with the contoured face against the o-ring, but reversal does no harm.
90A Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 1 3/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- Excellent extrusion resistance
- Easily stretched for installation
- Lubrication is enhanced by rubber which absorbs system fluid and does not plate out on rubbing surfaces
Style 590 Back-up Rings feature exceptional strength and abrasion resistance along with a 53 Shore D hardness rating which makes them suitable for high pressure service where extrusion is a problem. Primarily used as a u-seal back-up, these rings can be used with o-rings. They also retrofit urethane and PTFE back-up rings, with greater performance characteristics. “S” suffix designates a split ring.
53 Shore D Durometer | Hytrel Material | 1 3/16 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 5/32 in Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- High strength and abrasion resistance
- Wide temperature range
- Chemical resistance
- Low friction
- Easy installation
Style HRU u-seals are precision molded from 80 Durometer Buna-N rubber. Sizes include those found in Army-Navy spec. AN6226 and narrow cross-section sizes found in J.I.C. cylinders and the popularly termed “Huva Cup”.
80A Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 5/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | U-Seal
O-rings as elastic loops that seal static and dynamic applications. They are used to seal the space between cylinders, pistons, pipes and tubes and can be made from various materials.
70A Durometer | Nitrile Material | 90 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | 3 MM Cross Section | O-Ring
Features
- Chemical resistance
- Temperature range of -40 °F to 220 °F
Fabricated from fine woven fabric and phenolic resins, this wear ring is strong yet light weight with an excellent wear rate.
Phenolic Material | 50 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | Wear Ring
Features
- Protection Against Wear
- Reduced Friction
- Extended Cylinder Life
- Operational Efficiency
Utilizing tough polyurethane, these seals possess excellent wear and abrasion resistance. Symmetrical in design, they can be used in rod or piston applications. E= European Urethane.
Urethane Material | 90 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | U-Seal
Style 850 u-seals offer excellent resistance to extrusion and abrasion. The round cross-section expander offers energized sealing from zero to 5,000 psi.
95A Durometer | Urethane Material | 6 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 3/8 in Cross Section | U-Seal
The twin lip design helps solve difficult rod sealing problems by providing lower friction, increased stability, and high, dynamic lip force, while preventing air penetration from outside the cylinder.
Asymmetric rod seal designed with precision trimmed sealing lips to provide a dry sealing solution in light and medium-duty applications. The Hallite 605 is molded in Hythane® 181, Hallite’s high-performance polyurethane, for easy installation and excellent low temperature performance.
Designed to have interference in the seal housing groove and has a secondary lip. The secondary sealing lip located behind the primary sealing lip improves stability of the seal in the gland. The inner dynamic lip is shorter and more robust to improve sealing and compression set characteristics over conventional, symmetrical U-seals. The seal can be considered for use in heavy-duty applications when used with a suitable full depth back-up ring. The sealing lips are precision trimmed at an angle to give optimal rod sealing performance.
94A Durometer | Urethane Material | 4 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/4 in Cross Section | U-Seal
Features
- Excellent low temperature performance
- Easy installation
Utilizing a sturdy metal case, these wipers are molded from the same high performance urethane used in our Heavy Duty U-seals. Built for severe service, these wipers are capable of surviving hostile environments.
92A Durometer | Urethane Material | 1 3/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter
Features
- Used in Heavy Duty U-seals
- Capable of surviving hostile environments
- Molded from the high performance urethane
Molded in a tough urethane, this seal employs an additional lip near the heel. The twin lip design provides stability, friction-reducing lube retention, and some contaminant resistance. VME – Secondary lip is further from heel than standard MRTU. NOTE: E = European Urethane.
Urethane Material | 40 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | Rod U-Seal
Features
- Excellent low temperature performance
- Easy installation
