Hytrel backup ring with a flat cross-section.
Molded of 55D Durometer Hytrel, these back-up rings provide excellent extrusion resistance and tolerance to fluids such as phosphate esters, hydraulic oil and water. Stretched for installation, they return quickly to their original size for easy installation.
55D Durometer | Hytrel Material | 1 5/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 3/16 in Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- Improved extrusion resistance compared to standard FKM or NBR backups
- Can be stretched over larger diameters and will return quickly to their original size
- High strength and abrasion resistance
- Wide temperature range
- Chemical resistance
- Low friction
- Easy installation
O-rings as elastic loops that seal static and dynamic applications. They are used to seal the space between cylinders, pistons, pipes and tubes and can be made from various materials.
90 Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 4 1/2 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | O-Ring
Features
- Pressure range varies according to diametral clearance
- Temperature range of -40 °F to -240 °F
Parback® backup ring with a curved cross-section.
Parbaks are contoured on one face to minimize distortion of the o-ring when under pressure. Parbaks should be installed with the contoured face against the o-ring, but reversal does no harm.
90A Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 4 1/4 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- Excellent extrusion resistance
- Easily stretched for installation
- Lubrication is enhanced by rubber which absorbs system fluid and does not plate out on rubbing surfaces
Solid Teflon backup ring with a flat cross-section.
PTFE can withstand high temperatures and is compatible with nearly all fluids.
PTFE Material | 4 3/4 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- High strength and abrasion resistance
- Wide temperature range
- Chemical resistance
- Low friction
- Easy installation
- Deals very well with surface wear
WR-NYL, 3 1/2 X 3/8 Wear Ring
Style 590 Back-up Rings feature exceptional strength and abrasion resistance along with a 53 Shore D hardness rating which makes them suitable for high pressure service where extrusion is a problem. Primarily used as a u-seal back-up, these rings can be used with o-rings. They also retrofit urethane and PTFE back-up rings, with greater performance characteristics. “S” suffix designates a split ring.
53 Shore D Durometer | Hytrel Material | 3 1/2 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/4 in Cross Section | Backup Ring
Features
- High strength and abrasion resistance
- Wide temperature range
- Chemical resistance
- Low friction
- Easy installation
Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR), also known as Highly Saturated Nitrile (HSN), is a compound with superior heat, ozone, chemical resistance, tensile strength and abrasion resistance over natural rubber. HNBR provides excellent service life in most sealing applications such as oilfield, automotive and refrigerants.
70 Durometer | Highly Saturated Nitrile Material | 2 1/4 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | O-Ring
Features
- Chemical resistance
- Tensile strength
- Abrasion resistance
- Excellent service life in most sealing applications such as oilfield, automotive and refrigerants
O-rings as elastic loops that seal static and dynamic applications. They are used to seal the space between cylinders, pistons, pipes and tubes and can be made from various materials.
70 Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 7 1/2 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/8 in Cross Section | O-Ring
Features
- Pressure range varies according to diametral clearance
- Temperature range of -40 °F to -240 °F
Style HRU u-seals are precision molded from 80 Durometer Buna-N rubber. Sizes include those found in Army-Navy spec. AN6226 and narrow cross-section sizes found in J.I.C. cylinders and the popularly termed “Huva Cup”.
80A Durometer | Buna-N Rubber Material | 4 1/2 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 1/4 in Cross Section | U-Seal
Molded from filled PTFE and machined to close tolerances, these seals feature low friction and excellent wear characteristics. Nitrile rings are used for energizers.
70A Durometer | PTFE Material | 37 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | Piston Seal
Features
- Easy assembly
- Low friction capabilities
