O-rings as elastic loops that seal static and dynamic applications. They are used to seal the space between cylinders, pistons, pipes and tubes and can be made from various materials.
70A Durometer | Nitrile Material | 85 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | 2 MM Cross Section | O-Ring
Features
- Chemical resistance
- Temperature range of -40 °F to 220 °F
Molded in a tough urethane, this rod u-seal fits tightly in the groove while providing increased radial force on the rod. The employment of a nylon back-up makes it highly extrusion resistant. GT= GREEN TWEED SEAL
Urethane Material | 80 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | Rod U-Seal
MUKPN is an asymmetrical single-acting pneumatic piston seal. Molded in nitrile, this seal is resistant to water and most oils while maintaining good low-pressure sealing.
80A Durometer | NBR Material | 28 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | Piston Seal
Utilizing tough polyurethane, these seals possess excellent wear and abrasion resistance. Symmetrical in design, they can be used in rod or piston applications. E= European Urethane.
Urethane Material | 106 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | U-Seal
Fabricated from fine woven fabric and phenolic resins, this wear ring is strong yet light weight with an excellent wear rate.
Phenolic Material | 55 MM Nominal Inner Diameter | Wear Ring
Features
- Protection Against Wear
- Reduced Friction
- Extended Cylinder Life
- Operational Efficiency
Style 850 u-seals offer excellent resistance to extrusion and abrasion. The round cross-section expander offers energized sealing from zero to 5,000 psi.
95A Durometer | Urethane Material | 2 1/8 in Nominal Inner Diameter | 3/8 in Cross Section | U-Seal
Hercules® Sealing Products is pleased to introduce our new line of PowerbandTM tight tolerance premium wearrings. Manufactured from a highly engineered blend of premium nylon, glass fiber, and PTFE, PowerbandsTM offer a high strength wear-ring for all cylinder applications, including those with minimal lubrication. And, with a Coefficient of Friction nearly 50% lower than our standard product, your cylinders will run smoother and more efficiently than ever. All PowerbandsTM are fully machined with cross-section tolerances of only ±0.001”, chamfered corners, and scarf or angle-cut end gaps. Compared to standard tolerances of ±0.0025”, this tightened tolerance improves the alignment and concentric operation of cylinder rods and pistons. The fully machined chamfered corners will better accommodate cylinder housing grooves, further improving piston and rod alignment. Lastly, the scarf-cut end gap reduces the loss of bearing support that may occur during cylinder side-loading. When combined, these features reduce the tolerance stack-up within the components of the cylinder. As a result, your cylinders will operate more consistently and be capable of operating at higher pressures and higher side loads than with standard wear-ring products. Furthermore, with this improved cylinder operation, your seals will last longer and the life of your cylinder will be extended. PowerbandsTM are currently available in our most popular wear-ring dimensions.

Utilizing the same profiles as the Style 800 Polyurethane U-Seal line, these u-seals are molded from a fluorocarbon, compound. While being compatible with a broader range of fluids, these fluorocarbon seals will also operate, continuously at temperatures from -20° to +400 °F. NOTE: If you are not sure of fluid/seal compatibility, please refer, to the fluid compatibility chart in the appendix or contact our Engineering Department.
